JumpStart's annual event, #JumpSTORY, is a celebration of mentorship in early education for underserved children. As part of this event, alumni of their Corps Members program shared personal stories on the profound impact of mentoring, highlighting the transformative power of education. Our graphic facilitator, Ona Rygelis, had the privilege of working on-site and in the studio with JumpStart to visually capture these inspiring narratives. Through vibrant illustrations, we translated the alumni's experiences into visual narratives that mirrored the spirit of each journey. As the alumni spoke on stage, their stories were displayed in a colorful visual, adding depth and emotion to their words. Two of the alumni, Kicara Reynolds and Aniqa Yasser, made posts on Linkedin featuring their illustrations.
Our graphic recording skills played a pivotal role in the event with our social listening wall, channeling an inclusive atmosphere, helping audiences map their stories, and strengthening the building community.
